The Thousand Islands Water Resources Sub-agency is installing some breakwater embankments in order to anticipate abrasion on residential islands in Thousand Islands.

Embankments are installed on nine residential islands

Its installation has been ongoing since September using massive cube materials with varying lengths as needed.

"Embankments are installed on nine residential islands," expressed Thousand Islands Water Resources Sub-agency, Friday (11/1).

But now the number has increased to eleven units on eleven residential islands. Those islands are Pramuka, Harapan, Panggang, Lancang, Pari, Tidung, Payung, Untung Jawa, Kelapa, Kelapa Dua and Sebira.

"Each embankment has varying lengths between 150-400 meters with the needs of the cube reaching 800-1,200 pieces," he stated.
